"Grey's Anatomy" promised a wedding on Thursday night's episode, but it threw in a surprising curve. When it was discovered that Izzie (Katherine Heigl) had a new brain tumor, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) shelved their wedding plans and let Izzie and Alex (Justin Chambers) say their "I Do's" in their place.

It was a perfect wedding for Izzie, who had made all the arrangements from her hospital bed, as Meredith's bridesmaid. "Grey's Anatomy"'s two-hour finale airs next Thursday, May 14, at 9 p.m. on ABC.

"Grey's Anatomy" wraps up this season with a two-hour finale, airing tonight  starting at 9 p.m. on ABC, involving a really big trauma case requiring several of the surgeons, including Dr. Erica Hahn (BROOKE SMITH), to work on freeing a boy from a hardening block of cement.

Great stories, a sexy cast and life-and-death emergencies are just a few of the reasons "Grey's Anatomy" is at the top of the ratings charts each and every week. Its move from Sunday nights at 10 p.m. to Thursday nights at 9 p.m., didn't even put a crimp in its popularity, as fans followed the medical drama to its new night and time in record numbers.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that there is a lot of near-nudity in some very sexy scenes. Watching Derek (PATRICK DEMPSEY) and Meredith (ELLEN POMPEO) share a bathtub certainly got temperatures rising, and earlier this season, a towel-wearing ERIC DANE showed he had all the right stuff to earn the nickname McSteamy.
