Ballas, who led partner KRISTI YAMAGUCHI to victory and the disco ball trophy last Tuesday, celebrated turning 22, while Hough commemorated having recently turned 23. People reports that the two shared a three-tiered birthday cake adorned with a disco ball.

Despite being injured in last night's performance episode of "Dancing with the Stars," latin heartthrob CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE will be back next week to dance again, while, in a twist, affable film actress SHANNON ELIZABETH will not be returning.
It was revealed in the results show that Cristian had suffered a ruptured tendon in his bicep. Cristian said that he had gone back and forth with medical professionals all day: "Because the tendon was ruptured, I need surgery in order to put it back together."
The heat was on in the ballroom on Monday night's competition show. "Dancing with the Stars" was down to its Final Six, and each of the six couples still in the running had to perform two dances this week: one ballroom; one Latin.
The competition continued to amp up on Monday night, as the celebs took to the dance floor on ABC's hit "Dancing with the Stars."
JASON TAYLOR and EDYTA SLIWINSKA opened the night with their sultry cha cha. The judges had mixed reviews, granting them a score of 24 out of 30. Judge LEN GOODMAN said, "My heart went out to you, you made me smile, because you were trying to count." Judge BRUNO TONIOLI said he was "flamboyant" and "cheeky" but the "footwork wasn't as good as it could have been." Judge CARRIE ANN INABA, meanwhile, said he had "big man syndrome" and also noted, "You're dancing smaller than you should be."
It has been a rough season for "Dancing with the Stars"' pro DEREK HOUGH. It wasn't long ago, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for a neck injury. Today, he was taken to the hospital with food poisoning, it was announced just prior to his samba performance with SHANNON ELIZABETH on Monday night's performance show.
MARIO and KARINA SMIRNOFF kicked off the "Dancing with the Stars" competition night with the samba. LEN GOODMAN complimented them, saying, "This dance suited you. It has a freedom about it. It is a party dance. You had abandon. Work on your footwork a little more, but I have to tell you, it's your best dance so far." BRUNO TONIOLI said, "It was very vigorous. Beautifully done. A very good samba. Classically done. I loved it." CARRIE ANN INABA told them, "What I loved about this routine, is it was nice and clean and to the point. It was a classic routine. If that is your spirit, it is so smooth." It was a great start to the night with 27 out of 30 points.
This coming Monday night, SHANNON ELIZABETH and DEREK HOUGH will tackle the samba when they take to the ballroom floor for the "Dancing with the Stars" competition. But first, the dancing pair interview each other for ET!
