The Man of Steel made his long-awaited big-screen return this summer to big box office, and now Ben Affleck is taking on the mysterious death of original TV Superman George Reeves in the upcoming drama, 'Hollywoodland,' in theaters September 8.
"The story's about the toll it took on him, the price of ambition," says Ben. "You talk about typecasting and that kind of frustration -- he was one of the first guys to experience that."
Legendary actor Glenn Ford, who made his mark as a star of the Western film genre, has passed away. He was 90 years old.

Despite controversy that the box office was struggling in 2005, the film industry still raked in over $8 billion at the multiplexes. Now, ET has a sneak peek at some of the biggest films of the coming year, from JOHNNY DEPP in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' to TOM CRUISE in 'Mission: Impossible III'!
"Before you do a stunt, everyone's tension is going," Tom tells ET about doing his own stunts in 'M:I:III.' "You prepare and you prepare, and even if things go wrong, you prepare so that it won't go that wrong. But I do feel the adrenaline!" The movie's plot is being kept tightly under wraps, but we can say that it's being directed by "Lost" mastermind J.J. ABRAMS and stars KERI RUSSELL, JONATHAN RHYS-MEYERS, LAURENCE FISHBURNE, PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN and, of course, the returning VING RHAMES. Look for all the action May 5.
Those good ol' boys of TV's "Dukes of Hazzard" -- TOM WOPAT and JOHN SCHNEIDER -- are together again! But this time out, they aren't tearing up the roads of Hazzard County in the General Lee, but hooking up as two old friends in "Smallville," airing Thursday night at 8 p.m.
John, of course, is a series regular on the hit WB series, playing Clark Kent's (TOM WELLING) dad Jonathan. Tom is playing Jake Jennings, an old friend of Jonathan's, who stops by to make sure he has the Kent family's support in his bid for reelection to the senate.
