Oscar-winner CHARLIZE THERON will star in the drama 'The Burning Plain' for 'Babel' screenwriter GUILLERMO ARRIAGA, who is making his directorial debut with the film, according to Daily Variety.

The multiple-character, interweaving storyline features Charlize as a woman who tries to reconnect with her parents after a turbulent childhood.
