CHRIS ORR, the man who was attacked by a tiger last week at TIPPI HEDREN's Shambala Preserve, is expected to recover completely.

His mother, BARBARA ORR, released a statement on Monday, saying that her son had undergone surgery on Saturday to correct a broken jaw, and had also undergone minor surgery to repair puncture wounds in his neck. She said that Hedren and Shambala have been "very supportive towards both Chris and us" and also said, "We've always understood Shambala has an excellent safety record."

The man who was attacked Tuesday by a tiger at TIPPI HEDREN's Shambala Preserve is well on the road to recovery, representatives of Hedren tell ET.

"CHRIS [ORR] is smiling and happy," the reps say. He is being treated with a regimen of antibiotics to prevent infections to his wounds, which pose the greatest concern to his well-being at this time, the reps say.

ET confirms the news that a man was critically injured when he was attacked by a tiger at a wildlife preserve run by Golden Globe-winning actress TIPPI HEDREN.

The 40-year-old man was bitten repeatedly by the tiger at the Shambala Preserve, located at the edge of the Mojave desert about 40 miles outside of Los Angeles. He was airlifted to a hospital, where he is now in stable, but critical condition.
