After the success of last year's "Salem's Lot," it should be no surprise that TNT has once again tapped master of horror STEPHEN KING for material to adapt into a new, eight episode mini-series called "Nightmares and Dreamscapes," debuting July 12.
Five of the adaptations come from King's 1993 anthology of the same name. The four-week collection features an all-star cast, including WILLIAM H. MACY, JEREMY SISTO, WILLIAM HURT, STEVEN WEBER and KIM DELANEY, in eight mind-bending tales set to premiere this summer.
Mom-to-be KATIE HOLMES shows off her satirical side as she joins the star-studded cast that includes AARON ECKHART, ROBERT DUVALL and ROB LOWE in the highly anticipated dramedy 'Thank You for Smoking,' hitting theaters in limited release March 17.
The future Mrs. TOM CRUISE plays Heather Holloway, a reporter hot on the trail of tobacco lobbyist Nick Naylor, played by the always-entertaining Eckhart.
"Desperate Housewives" star FELICITY HUFFMAN branches out -- way, way out -- in her new film, 'Transamerica,' in which she plays a transsexual looking to complete her gender reassignment surgery.
"What I was concerned with was telling the truth and getting it right," Felicity tells ET, "because it's a small community, it's a minority, and its usually very marginalized, if not looked down on. So I wanted to make sure that my representation was true; that's what I was concerned with, not so much how I looked."
Newlyweds ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE made their first public stateside appearance Saturday night in Las Vegas to help survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The couple arrived at the Empire Ballroom for uBid.com's online celebrity auction.
The happy twosome, who got hitched on Sept. 24 and have been traveling in Europe, both kept their ring fingers out of sight on the red carpet. But Ashton joked about their love life and the importance of helping those less fortunate on stage.
MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY and PENÉLOPE CRUZ braved the blazing, shifting sands of the harsh Moroccan desert for their new action-adventure, 'Sahara.' The movie landed in the No. 1 spot at the box-office over the weekend, debuting with a sizzling $18.5 million. The coy couple also walked the scorching red carpet separately in Hollywood for their big premiere -- and MARK STEINES was right there as Cruz cruised in with a real camel! "My date is a camel, his name is Frido, he's so cute and he doesn't smell."
So what did Matthew think about his girlfriend's hot date? "I can't really compete," he laughed.
She may have just split from hubby CHARLIE SHEEN, but the busy DENISE RICHARDS is showing no signs of slowing down. The former Bond girl and 'Wild Things' siren is working on a deal for an upcoming series with UPN and is starring opposite WILLIAM H. MACY in 'Edmond' -- and ET has your first look!
Based on the dark-humored and sometimes shocking DAVID MAMET stage play, 'Edmond' follows a middle-class "everyman" (Macy) who, after an encounter with a fortune teller, realizes his life has become boring and meaningless and decides to leave it all behind in a dark search for enlightenment -- with some tragic consequences.
What would you do if you got a wrong number on your cell phone -- and the person on the other end was KIM BASINGER in distress? That's the premise of 'Cellular,' the new film from the writer of 'Phone Booth,' in theaters September 10.
Tonight on ET, our own MARY HART is with the Academy Award winner to talk about her tense thriller!
When Laura Newton (KIRSTEN BELL), a high-ranking official's daughter is kidnapped, espionage genius Robert Scott (VAL KILMER) is called into action in the DAVID MAMET thriller, 'Spartan,' opening in theaters Friday, March 12.
"There are men in organizations that don't have titles and when there is something that the Secret Service, the FBI or CIA can't or won't do, they call in these guys," Kilmer says to explain Scott. "There is a book called Inside Delta Force: The Story of America's Elite Counterterrorist Unit by ERIC HANEY, and he was our technical advisor."
A highly sought-after character actor who has earned his stripes in the mainstream, WILLIAM H. MACY's recent Golden Globe® nomination for 'Seabiscuit' marks another feather in the cap of his long, varied career in film and television.
Currently appearing in theaters as a professional loser opposite Baldwin in 'The Cooler,' the 53-year-old actor has made a career out of playing eccentric, down-on-their-luck characters. After getting his start onstage under the tutelage of mentor DAVID MAMET, he was cast in the playwright's directorial debut, 'House of Games.' From then on, he appeared in many of Mamet's subsequent films and found success with pivotal roles on TV in "ER" and in films like 'The Client' and 'Mr. Holland's Opus.'
ET is at the AMA's! The "2009 American Music Awards" are underway and we have all the red-hot red-carpet arrival pics, including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Rihanna, Adam Lambert and more!
