CBS Watch magazine flew Roselyn Sanchez to the Ritz-Carlton in Palm Beach, Florida for a cover shoot -- and ET gets all the dish on that and on the "Without a Trace" star's wedding.
"Without a Trace" star Roselyn Sanchez tied the knot with actor Eric Winter on Saturday. The two said their vows in front of 250 guests and one "Desperate Housewife"!
With the Writers Guild of America strike at an end, CBS today announced anticipated dates for the return of their most popular series with new episodes. The half-hour comedies will return as early as March 17, with dramas taking a bit longer. The majority of them will return in April, but "CSI: Miami" will be back as early as March 24.
It's been three months since your favorite CBS shows aired their season finales, many of which were cliffhangers. So if you missed Charlie's (Charlie Sheen) wedding day on "Two and a Half Men," Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) decision to retire from "NCIS," or the plane crash and Melinda's (Jennifer Love Hewitt) battle with evil on "Ghost Whisperer," tune in to CBS the week of Sept. 11. The eye network will rebroadcast the finales of "How I Met Your Mother," "Two and a Half Men," "CSI: Miami," "NCIS," "Criminal Minds," "CSI: New York," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Ghost Whisperer" and Without a Trace" just in time for fans to get ready for the new fall season.
New cast members add a fresh dynamic to storytelling, and that is what is happening with two of CBS and JERRY BRUCKHEIMER's hot procedural dramas "CSI: NY" and "Without a Trace" this week, when they each add one new woman to their existing casts.
Over at "CSI: NY," the firing of Aiden Burn (VANESSA FERLITO) for violating the integrity of the CSI lab by breaking a seal on an evidence bag made an opening on the crime scene team that will be filled by new-to-the-big-city Lindsay Monroe (ANNA BELKNAP). Lindsay first appears in the "Zoo York" episode, airing Wednesday night at 10 p.m., in which a man is ripped apart by a tiger at a New York animal conservatory, and the CSIs are charged with investigating the death. Lindsay hails from Montana, where she worked as a CSI for three years, before making the move to the Big Apple, where Mac (GARY SINISE) appreciates her Midwestern work ethic, but realizes she still has a lot to learn. What he doesn't know is that Lindsay has a dark secret that led her to becoming a CSI in the first place.
It's been a long summer for "Without a Trace" stars ERIC CLOSE (Martin) and ENRIQUE MURCIANO (Danny), who finished the last season in a hail of bullets. Would one of their characters be killed? Could they really be out of a job? They didn't find out until they returned and began shooting the fourth season premiere (airing Thursday, Sept. 29 on CBS at 10 p.m.) who would survive and who would die.
"I spent the entire summer [not knowing] what we were going to be shooting today," Eric admits. "It's funny. I've worked on shows where they let you know where things are going. This show, they hold it close to the vest. I think they like to keep us guessing."
Mother's Day is this Sunday, so ET checked in with some of TV's hottest celebs -- "The O.C."'s MISCHA BARTON, "Without A Trace"'s ANTHONY LAPAGLIA, "Desperate Housewives"' EVA LONGORIA and "Summerland"'s SHAWN CHRISTIAN -- to get some of their favorite memories of their moms.
There is nothing like a dame and exec producer JERRY BRUCKHEIMER, whose TV dynasty includes all three "CSI" series, "Without a Trace," "Cold Case" and the "Amazing Race," has cut quite a swath on CBS by including intelligent women on each of his shows. From MARG HELGENBERGER to EMILY PROCTER and MELINA KANAKAREDES, not to mention POPPY MONTGOMERY and KATHRYN MORRIS, Bruckheimer has populated his shows with the crème de la crème of actresses.
On tonight's ET, our MARY HART sits down with the producer when he drops by Stage 28 for a one-on-one interview about his fortuitous run. Bruckheimer's reign began five years ago with the launch of the procedural drama "CSI." It was quickly followed by "Without A Trace," "CSI: Miami," "Cold Case" and most recently "CSI: New York." And the top-flight exec producer also found time to try his hand at reality with "Amazing Race."
"Without A Trace" was the sleeper hit of the 2002-2003 television season, finishing the summer with excellent ratings and causing TV critics to speculate if it will beat "ER" in their shared timeslot this coming year. The cast, however, feels no such competition.
"To think we could compete would be arrogant and stupid," "Trace" star ANTHONY LaPAGLIA tells ET succinctly during our visit to the set.
