Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are a match made in heaven.

The gorgeous couple attended the premiere of their latest film together, Loving Pablo, which screened during the 74th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande in Venice, Italy, on Wednesday, and celebrated with a night out on the town.

The 43-year-old actress looked radiant in a feathered Atelier Versace gown with Barocco beads and high-thigh slit, which she accessorized with Chopard jewelry. Meanwhile, Bardem, 48, looked dapper in a black tuxedo and bow tie.

Following the Loving Pablo screening, the Oscar-winning couple celebrated at the post-premiere dinner held at celebrity hot spot Palazzina.

An insider tells ET that Bardem and Cruz "were in a very celebratory mood as the film was very well received at the premiere. He constantly had his arm around her and were cuddling, very cute and romantic with each other."

And that wasn't even the cutest part of their date night. "At first Penelope wanted to go back to her hotel to change out of her premiere dress, but Javier convinced her not to as he loved the dress so much and thought she looked so beautiful," according to our insider.

The couple celebrated with a small, intimate group of about 25 people. The party dined on risotto with vegetables of the Venetian lagoon, smoked salmon and crucified, jamon de bellotta 48 months, oysters, gazpacho of white melon and cucumber by chef Fabio Manni, while indulging in Krug Grande Cuvee 163 edition champagne.

ET spoke with Bardem in May, where he gushed about his wife's "fantastic" transformation for her role as Donatella Versace in the upcoming series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
