Jennifer Lopez's 'Shades of Blue' Ending After Season 3

NBC

The NBC crime drama will wrap following its third season, which premieres July 17.

It's time to say goodbye to Detective Harlee Santos.

Shades of Blue, starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, will officially end after its third season, NBC confirmed on Wednesday. The crime drama will conclude Santos' storyline with a 10-episode season three that will premiere Sunday, June 17.

"I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character -- a women, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother,” Lopez expressed in a statement. "Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman. It's crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful."

"We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption," she continued. "The way only Harlee could have done it – the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!”

The 48-year-old entertainer also took to Instagram to share a pic of herself as Santos, captioning the shot, "Get Ready For Harlee And The Crew...#Shades3 #June17th #ShadesOfBlue."

But J.Lo isn’t going anywhere. The singer-actress still has her successful Las Vegas All I Have residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. She's also set to return as a judge on season two of her dancing competition show, World of Dance, and stars in the upcoming film Second Act.

ET recently caught up with Lopez's Second Act co-star, Vanessa Hudgens, who gushed about working with the mother of two.

Watch below to hear what she shared.

Shades of Blue premieres its final season on Sunday, June 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
