He may be 101, but Kirk Douglas can still charm a crowd!
The Hollywood legend appeared onstage alongside his daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones, where he received a standing ovation.
Before his appearance, a short highlight reel of his Golden Globe-nominated roles, including Spartacus and Vincent Van Gogh, as well as his Cecil B. Demille Award speech, where he said "movies speak a universal language."
Zeta-Jones explained Douglas' role in helping break through the Hollywood Blacklist of the 1960s by hiring screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, making him a perfect fit to help present the Best Screenplay category.
Douglas turned 101 on Dec. 9, surrounded by his family. Zeta-Jones shared a sweet photo of the two in honor of the milestone birthday, writing in the caption, "101 today!!!! My darling Pappy on my knee. Happy Birthday to my wonderful, inspirational and loving father in law, Kirk. Love you with all my heart. ❤️#hero.
