Ready or Not?

GRAMMY-winning musician Lauryn Hill has announced she will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, with a world tour!

The former Fugees member will kick off a 28-date North America run with a July 5 concert in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

"This album chronicled an intimate piece of my young existence,” Hill said in a press release issued to ET. “It was the summation of most, if not all, of my most hopeful and positive emotions experienced to that date. I Loved and believed deeply in my community's ability to both Love and heal itself provided it received the right amount of support and encouragement.”

“Our world today, both complex and changing, is in need of the balance between moral fortitude and cathartic expression," she continued. “I hope the Love and energy that permeated this work can continue to inspire change with Love and optimism at the helm."

A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Miss Lauryn Hill Foundation, which allocates funds to support community building around the globe via charities including Haiti Cultural Exchange, Apps & Girls and the Africa Got Game Foundation.

Yet-to-be announced special guests will join Hill, 42, at each show and further international dates will be unveiled.

Hill will also play a one-off show for Citi cardmembers at New York’s historic Apollo Theater on May 1, with all proceeds going to the MLH Foundation.

Tickets and VIP experiences go on sale on April 20, with presales currently underway.
