The 59-year-old former Today show co-anchor was snapped getting breakfast at Jimmy Jims Deli in Sag Harbor, New York, on Wednesday, noticeably without his wedding ring. This marks a change from Monday, when he was still wearing his ring while being photographed in his car wearing sunglasses and a winter jacket.

As for Lauer's wife, Annette Roque, she was also ringless in pictures published by The Daily Mail on Wednesday. Roque's father, Henri, also told the publication that Roque and Lauer were not attempting to work it out after Lauer was fired from the Today show last week for "inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace."

"She is not going to stay with him and work it out," Henri said. "They are not together trying to work it out."

A source at Jimmy Jims Deli tells ET that both Lauer and Roque stopped by the deli on Wednesday, though at different times. The source says that Lauer, a frequent customer at the deli, was friendly as he picked up breakfast.

"Matt is a good customer of ours," the source says, "He’s a really nice guy.”

On Monday, a source told ET that Roque and Lauer were already spending time apart even before Lauer's sexual misconduct scandal.

“Matt and Annette lived separately, with Matt spending many nights in his Manhattan apartment," the source said.

Lauer and Roque have been married since 1998, and share three children together. Their 19-year marriage hasn't been without issues, including tabloid rumors of Lauer allegedly engaging in extramarital affairs, which he has denied.

Roque also reportedly filed for divorce against her husband in September 2006, before eventually withdrawing the documents and reconciling, according to The New York Daily News. According to paperwork first obtained by the National Enquirer, in the filing, Annette accused her husband of "cruel and inhumane acts," reportedly also claiming that Lauer was controlling about "even the smallest decisions," and alleging that he showed "extreme anger and hostility" towards her.
