Gwyneth Paltrow's strappin' on a guitar and goin' country in her new musical drama 'Country Strong,' in limited release December 22, and we have a first look!
Gwyneth plays an unstable country music singer who gets involved with a rising singer-songwriter (Garrett Hedlund). As they embark on a career resurrection tour with her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and a beauty-queen-turned-singer ("Gossip Girl"'s Leighton Meester), romantic complications ensue and old demons threaten to derail them all.
This isn't the first time that Gwyneth has flexed her vocal talents. In 2000's 'Duets,' directed by her late father Bruce Paltrow, she played a woman who tries her hand at karaoke, winning over the audience with her version of "Bette Davis Eyes."
'Country Strong' hits theaters in limited release December 22, expanding to theaters everywhere January 11.
