"I see dead people." The 1999 movie that launched M. Night Shyamalan's career (and cursed him with a compulsion to add a surprise-twist ending to almost all of his films) stars Bruce Willis as Dr. Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist in Philadelphia who takes on a unique six-year-old patient, Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), who claims to be able to see the dearly departed. As Crowe gets more drawn into Cole's mysterious world, his relationship with his wife (Olivia Williams) appears to become more and more distant -- until he comes to a startling conclusion about how Cole sees his world.
