Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz and Aaron Johnson star in this action-packed tale of an ordinary high school kid who yearns to be a hero but quickly learns he's bit off more than he can chew. Cleverly balancing reality with flights of fancy, the story finds Johnson as Dave Lizewski, a teen who orders a wet suit and heads out to fight crime as Kick-Ass, only to have his ass promptly kicked. Determined to stick to his plan, he joins forces with Big Daddy (Cage) and Hit-Girl (Moretz), but finds himself in over his head with a local crime syndicate leader (Mark Strong) and his scheming son (Mitz-Plasse), who designs his own hero, Red Mist, in order to trap Kick-Ass.
