'Avatar' Extended Collector's Edition
Return to Pandora with an extended-length cut of the movie that's 16 minutes longer, with over 45 minutes of deleted scenes! James Cameron's box office phenomenon stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver in an otherworldly adventure about a wheelchair-bound marine who journeys to the beautiful planet of Pandora on a mission to relocate the natives sitting on a rich deposit of "unobtanium." The 3-disc Extended Collector's Edition on Blu-ray contains three versions of 'Avatar': The original theatrical release; the special edition re-release; and a new collector's extended cut with 16 more minutes, including an exclusive alternate opening Earth scene. The discs also include over eight hours of never-before-seen material including "Capturing Avatar," an in-depth feature-length documentary covering Cameron's 16-year journey to make the film; 45 minutes of never-before-seen deleted scenes; Interactive Scene Deconstruction; 17 behind-the-scenes Production Shorts; archives including the film's 300-page screenplay; BD-live Portal with additional bonus materials; plus a family audio track with all objectionable language removed in the original theatrical and special edition re-release versions of the film.
