'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' (2004)
The Plot: Harry's third year at Hogwarts gets off to a shaky start when he is informed that Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) -- the man who betrayed his parents and sold them out to Voldemort -- has escaped from Azkaban Prison and is out to kill him. Dangerous guards of Azkaban, Dementors, circle Hogwarts to protect the school, providing for some close calls with Harry, and Remus Lupin (David Thewlis), a werewolf, steps in as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher to mentor Harry and prepare him to defend himself. But it turns out that Sirius, Harry's godfather, was framed and is looking to clear his name. The real culprit is Peter Pettigrew (Timothy Spall), who has been disguised as Ron's rat for the last 12 years while Sirius was falsely accused of his murder. As the Dementors move in to capture Sirius, Harry and Hermione use her magical Time-Turner pendant to turn back time and help him escape.
