'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' (2007)
The Plot: When Harry and Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) try to warn the Ministry of Magic that Voldemort has returned, the powers that be scoff at the idea and send a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) to keep an eye on Hogwarts. A Ministry official, Umbridge runs with a decidedly stricter set of rules, posting each new one on the wall, and soon usurps Dumbledore as headmaster of Hogwarts, forbidding practical magic. But a rebellious Harry, Ron and Hermione secretly organize "Dumbledore's Army" and practice defensive magic -- with the help of the hidden Room of Requirement -- to take on Voldemort's band of "Death Eaters," including Draco's father Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs) and Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter). When Harry and his friends are ambushed at the Department of Mysteries, Dumbledore's team arrives just in time for the battle, including Harry's godfather Sirius Black, but Sirius is killed in the melee before Voldemort and Dumbledore face off. Voldemort briefly possesses Harry before vanishing, and the boy wizard learns the prophecy that either he or Voldemort will kill the other.
The Highlights: Dolores Umbridge tortures Harry in her pink office with collectible kitten plates on the wall; Harry's first kiss with Cho Chang under the mistletoe; the Weasley brothers (James and Oliver Phelps) sabotage the Owl exams with fireworks and destroy all of Umbridge's rules; Umbridge is carried away into the forest by the Centaurs; Dumbledore and Voldemort face off in the Ministry of Magic.
