It's been announced that Anne Hathaway will co-host the 83rd Academy Awards with James Franco, and the actress dished to ET on the red carpet of the Gotham Independent Film Awards, admitting her trepidation concerning the task.

Anne will be one of only a handful of women to have hosted the Oscars and she said the historic nature of the gig was daunting: "I found out that I'm one of three women to host since... I think it was 1987," Anne said on Monday in New York City. "Maybe I'm the fourth, I'm not sure. I'm still learning all the amazing statistics that I almost don't want to know because it gets a little bit too intimidating."

Oscar hopeful Natalie Portman spilled background information on how she embodied the role of a ballerina in 'Black Swan,' saying, "It was an entire year of training, which was like five to eight hours a day of intense ballet training and cross-training and then, of course, just the sort of psychological preparation for the role."
