'Back To The Future' 25th Anniversary Trilogy on Blu-ray
The 'Back to the Future' trilogy is back and better than ever, looking pristine on hi-def Blu-ray in a restored, special three-film edition packed with "heavy" extras! After traveling back to 1955 in his friend Doc Brown's (Christopher Lloyd) time-traveling DeLorean, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) accidentally prevents his parents (Lea Thompson and Crispin Glover) from meeting. Now, he must make sure that they meet and fall in love at the high school dance – or he may never exist! 'Back to the Future II' finds our heroes trying to preserve the time-space continuum 30 years in the future (2015) when they learn the timeline has been altered by the predictions of a sports almanac; while 'Back to the Future III' heads 100 years into the past in the wild west of 1885, with Doc Brown finding love (Mary Steenburgen) and Marty trying not to get shot by Biff's (Thomas F. Wilson) ancestor, Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen.
Special features include "Tales from the Future," an all-new, six-part retrospective documentary featuring never-before-seen interviews with the cast, crew and filmmakers, including Lloyd, Thompson and Fox, from the genesis of the films to casting (including footage of Eric Stoltz as the original Marty McFly), music, visual effects, and the impact of the film as a phenomenon; filmmaker commentary; 16 deleted scenes; "The Physics of Back to the Future"; the "Nuclear Test Site Ending Storyboard Sequence" for the original proposed ending of the film; Huey Lewis and the News "Power of Love" and ZZ Top "DoubleBack" music videos; archival making-of featurettes; behind-the-scenes footage including outtakes, makeup tests and a Hoverboard test; digital copies of all three films and much more! The set is also available on DVD.
