ET caught up with the stars of Sofia Coppola's new film 'Somewhere' at the Four Seasons Hotel on Friday, not far from the swanky Chateau Marmont where they shot the movie.
The film follows Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff), a philandering, drug-addled actor living at the Chateau Marmont who scrutinizes his life choices when his 11-year-old daughter Cleo (Elle Fanning) pays him an unexpected visit.
Stephen revealed that Elle displayed a maturity level beyond her years, enabling him to build a bond with his co-star despite their age difference.
Elle unveiled some of her sophistication when she cited the "old Hollywood" presence as one of the components that she enjoyed about shooting the movie on location at the famous hotel.
"I've always sort of known the hotel as the place where Marilyn Monroe stayed because I love her," said the 12-year-old actress. "So, whenever I was walking the halls and in the rooms I'm like, 'Is this where Marilyn Monroe was?'"
'Somewhere' opens in select theaters December 22.
