Warner Bros. tells ET that a stuntman was injured earlier this month on the Thailand set of the highly anticipated 'The Hangover II' and remains hospitalized.
The studio tells ET, "There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of 'The Hangover Part II' near Bangkok, Thailand, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010 (Bangkok time). A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence. The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition."
According to Variety, the man injured was Australian stuntman Scott McLean, whose credits include 'The Matrix,' 'Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones' and 'Ghost Rider.' He has reportedly been placed into a medically induced coma to assist in speeding up his recovery, and his prognosis is said to be positive.
'The Hangover II,' featuring the returning Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong, is scheduled to hit theaters May 26, 2011.
