Comic/Performance Highlights: In '08, Stewart cracks wise about the Writers' Strike ("These past three-and-a-half months have been very rough; the fight is over, so tonight, welcome to the make-up sex."), politics ("Oscar is 80 this year, which automatically makes him the front-runner for the republican nomination.") and Javier Bardem's 'No Country for Old Men' look ("Hannibal Lecter's murderousness with Dorothy Hamill's wedge cut."). In '06, Stewart starts the show with a clever bit in which former Oscar hosts Billy Crystal, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg and David Letterman all turn down the gig, with the "Daily Show" funnyman landing the job by default. He then wakes up from his "dream" in bed with Halle Berry -- and George Clooney.
Best Picture Winners: 'No Country for Old Men' ('08), 'Crash' ('06)
