Will Ferrell will guest star on NBC's "The Office" this season, making him the third 'Anchorman' star to appear on the show behind Steve Carell and David Koechner. At the 'Hall Pass' premiere on Wednesday, ET asked Christina Applegate if she will follow the trend.
"That was a joke that [Jenna Fischer and I] were just talking about when we were sitting there because Will Ferrell is there right now," said Applegate, refuting the rumors. "Working with Will and Steve was one of the greatest moments of my whole life and I was just saying how I wanted to be a fly on the wall basically."
But "The Office" star Jenna Fischer fanned hope of an 'Anchorman' reunion, saying, "That's our master plan. If we have our way she will be [appearing on the show]."
There was also plenty of baby talk at the Hollywood premiere. Applegate gave birth to daughter Sadie Grace on January 27, Alyssa Milano is expecting her first child this year and Owen Wilson and girlfriend Jade Duell welcomed a baby boy January 14.
"It's exciting," said Wilson about fatherhood. "We're about six weeks into it, so we're figuring it out as we go along."
In 'Hall Pass,' Wilson plays Rick who is best friends with Fred (Jason Sudeikis) both of whom have been in loving marriages for a long time, but they still fantasize about other women. As their marriages become stale, Rick and Fred's wives, played by Fischer and Applegate, allow them hall passes (one week to live as if they were single).
Jason Sudeikis acknowledged that he's never been in a relationship that could survive a hall pass but posed that there may be some out there that could.
"Isn't there one thing that we've learned in all our years of living that we don't know everything?" said Sudeikis. "I feel like it could ruin a relationship. It could help a relationship. It could mean nothing. Who knows?"
'Hall Pass' hits theaters February 25.
