Bradley Cooper has established himself as one of Hollywood's most versatile actors, showing his raunchy side in movies like 'The Hangover' and revealing a softer side in 'Valentine's Day.' Thursday night the actor shared which co-star actually inspired him to take the plunge into acting at the 'Limitless' screening in Los Angeles.

In the movie, Eddie Morra (Cooper) discovers a pill called NZT that allows him to access his brain's full potential as opposed to the 20 percent that a normal person uses, transforming him from an ordinary copywriter to someone that people want to write about.

The film also features Robert De Niro, who unwittingly inspired Cooper to push the limit in the entertainment industry.

"It's the reason why I became an actor," said Cooper. "A large degree was because of the stuff that I'd watched that he was in."

Cooper called acting with the screen legend "one of those moments in your life when you can't really believe it's happening."

'Limitless' opens March 18. Click the video to see what Cooper and co-star Johnny Whitworth would do if NZT was actually available to the public.
