'Battle: Los Angeles' opened with a bang, topping the weekend box office and grossing an impressive $36 million.
Meanwhile, another film that opened this weekend was not so well-received. Amanda Seyfried's 'Red Riding Hood' only managed to pull in $14.1 million, putting it at No. 3. However, Johnny Depp's 'Rango' had another successful weekend at the box office, making another $23.1 million and coming in at No. 2.
In at No. 4 was Matt Damon and Emily Blunt's 'The Adjustment Bureau,' grossing an estimated $11.5 million. Rounding out the top five was Disney's 'Mars Needs Moms' pulling in a weak $6.8 million.
