The cast of the new 3D animated feature 'Rio' met up in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for the film's premiere on Tuesday revealing the serious message behind this fun flick.
"I love the message that you can learn how to spread your wings and fly," Anne Hathaway said of the movie.
'Rio' is the story of a domesticated bird named Blu who belongs to an endangered species. When Blu is separated from his owner he must fend for himself in the wild and learn to fly in order to escape animal smugglers.
Jesse Eisenberg said that he likes the messages that "aren't so explicit" such as preservation of endangered species and the environment.
"This is something that really interests me," said Eisenberg. "And it's in this movie in kind of a subtle and natural way."
Jamie Foxx disclosed that he "thoroughly" enjoyed working on the project with Will.i.am. Both Foxx and Will.i.am worked on the movie's soundtrack.
"I'm proud of the music," said Will.i.am. "I can't wait to see the animation to the composition."
'Rio' opens April 15.
