Can SJP Juggle Stardom and Family?

Sarah Jessica Parker plays a working mom struggling to make every piece of the puzzle fit in the new comedyI Don't Know How She Does It. A busy working mom herself, how does she juggle family and fame?

"I manage probably no better than most women that I know who are handling a lot in and out of home, because working from home is just as hard, if not more so," Sarah tells ET. "I think that there are days that you feel you've been enormously successful, and there are days that you've stumbled on failure after failure."

Based on the bestselling book by Allison Pearson, I Don't Know How She Does It finds Sarah as Kate Reddy, a Boston-based working mother trying desperately to juggle marriage, children, and a high-stress job. Add new career opportunities and new romantic temptations to the mix, and Kate finds herself performing a high-wire balancing act. Greg Kinnear, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, and Christina Hendricks also star.

"I think what Kate discovers during the course of the movie -- which I think all of us know a little bit -- is that it's less about these very high expectations we have of all of ourselves, and really more about the realistic expectations," observes Sarah. "Children are very forgiving; we have to learn to be as forgiving. And the most important thing is the kind of time you spend with the people you love."

I Don't Know How She Does It arrives in theaters September 16.
