'Real Steel' Delivers Box Office Knockout

October 09, 2011Hugh Jackman's robot boxing movie Real Steel fended off George Clooney and Ryan Gosling's political thriller The Ides of March in what became a one-sided slugfest.

The rock 'em, sock 'em robots were a fan favorite over the weekend, landing in first place with $29 million. Ides of March trailed behind, pulling in a meager $10.5 million.

Dolphin Tale wound up in third, reeling in $9 million, while Moneyball took in $7.3 million for fourth.
