People will announce their pick for 2011's Sexiest Man Alive on Wednesday. So on Tuesday night, ET's Chris Jacobs caught up with the magazine's former Sexiest Man, George Clooney, for his take on who should win the honor this year.
"I've been running a fairly strong campaign for a while," Clooney joked at The Descendants
premiere in Beverly Hills. "But I think that Ryan Gosling guy ... You know, Brad [Pitt] and I, we worked with him for a long time to try and help him out. I think he's got it now."
George's co-star Shailene Woodley, who turned 20 years old on the night of the event, begged to differ.
"The man is 50 and is still one of the most attractive men I've ever seen," said Shailene.
Set in Hawaii, The Descendants is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey for Matt King (George), an indifferent husband and father of two girls (played by Shailene and Amara Miller) who is forced to re-examine his past and embrace his future when his wife suffers a boating accident off of Waikiki.
The event leads to a rapprochement with his young daughters while Matt wrestles with a decision to sell the family's land handed down from Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.
The movie hits theaters November 16.
