Angelina Jolie Admires Her Mom's Parenting Skills

Angelina Jolie has shown her tough side in action flicks such as Salt, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but on 60 Minutes, she revealed her one vulnerability.

When prompted to reminisce about her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, Angie's eyes welled up with tears. Angelina is the matriarch of a brood of six youngsters with Brad Pitt, all the while insisting, "I will never be as good a mother as she was, but I'll do my best… She's better than me."

The screen gem also discussed her backup plan if a career in acting hadn't worked out. Upset with how her grandfather's funeral was executed, she wanted to be a funeral director. "It sounds like this really strange, dark eccentric thing to do," she admitted.

All in all, at the end of the day, this jet-setting movie star is a family oriented gal at heart. This rare, candid interview with the very private actress aired Sunday night on 60 Minutes on CBS. Angelina makes her directorial debut with In The Land of Blood and Honey, in theaters December 23, 2011.
