Grab Your Whip: Indiana Jones Coming to Blu-ray

It took George Lucas years to put Star Wars on Blu-ray, and now that he's completed that task, we have equally great news: The Indiana Jones movies are finally headed to Blu-ray!

Hollywood Re-creates Classic 'Star Wars' Scenes

Accompanied by a great new trailer that hits all the right notes of John Williams' classic score, Paramount announced today that The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection will be "excavated in the fall of 2012" and include all four of Indy's thrilling adventures, helmed by self-proclaimed "director for hire" Steven Spielberg: Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) -- the only title to be released on Blu-ray already.

George Lucas: 'I'm Retiring'

The set promises to employ the highest possible high-definition picture and audio presentation, and along with a "best of" collection of documentaries, special features will include interviews, featurettes and "a few new surprises."

Just as long as the "new surprises" don't include snakes. We hate snakes.
