Frank Miller's Sin City thrilled audiences in 2005 with Clive Owen, Benicio Del Toro, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson portraying the gritty characters of the fictional title town, based on Miller's stark graphic novel.

"The first Sin City knocked out audiences who had never seen anything like it before. Robert Rodriguez and I are going to shake things up and deliver a ferocious film experience that is going to go even further than the first," says Miller, while Rodriguez adds that he and his co-conspirator "felt a duty to the fans to wait until we had something truly exceptional that would meet and exceed what have become epic expectations. A Dame To Kill For will certainly be worth the wait."

The script and details of A Dame to Kill For remain tightly under wraps, but many of the original cast are expected to return, and casting will begin next week. Rodriguez has said in the past that the follow-up may weave together storylines from before and after the original story.
