'GH' Star Opens Up About Bipolar Disorder

General Hospital star Maurice Benard has been very vocal about the fact he lives with bipolar disorder -- since being diagnosed at 22 years old, Benard's (now 49) become a spokesperson for treatment of the disorder with Mental Health America, which is one reason why Benard's GH character is also bipolar.

Now Benard is participating in OC87- The Obsessive Compulsive Major Depression Bipolar Asperger's Movie (opening May 25 in NYC and June 8 in LA) in hopes of spreading the word about the various treatments available today.
