Tom Cruise takes center stage alongside newcomer/leading man Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough in the rags-to-riches rock 'n' roll fable Rock of Ages, and we're with the stars of the movie including Diego, Julianne, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Malin Akerman and Mary J. Blige -- who were all in awe of Tom's incredible transformation into rocker Stacee Jaxx. Watch the video!
"Surreal," says Julianne about working with Tom, who showed up in character at the first table read of the script and even sang right there and then. "[Seeing him perform] Pour Some Sugar is just like the sexiest thing you've ever seen."
Based on the hit Broadway musical, Rock of Ages takes place on Hollywood's legendary Sunset Boulevard in the fabulous '80s and features sing-along tunes by Journey, Def Leppard, Styx, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Pat Benatar and Night Ranger. Alec Baldwin and Paul Giamatti also star in the movie, in "venues" June 15.
Diego Boneta calls Rock of Ages the "first dude musical," while Julianne Hough says, "I think that people are going to be surprised at how funny this is," adding that the '80s soundtrack tunes are "so iconic, and those are the songs you go to a bar and sing karaoke to. These were so much fun to sing."
