Ever since 2001's Monsters Inc. charmed audiences and critics alike with the surprisingly touching story of "top Scarer" Sulley's unlikely friendship with baby girl Boo and his best pal Mike, audiences have been waiting patiently for a sequel.

And from the looks of this amusing new trailer for Monsters University, it looks like the more than a decade wait was worth it.

Monsters University serves as a prequel to Monsters Inc., following the college shenanigans of Michael "Mike" Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James "Sulley" Sullivan (John Goodman), including their youthful pranks and epic parties.

Billy Crystal, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi (the voice of Randall Boggs) all reprise their roles, with Ken Jeong and Kelsey Grammer also lending their voices to new characters in the prequel.

Monsters University is set for release on June 21, 2013.
