'Snow White' Director Gushes Over Kristen Stewart

With today's revelation that Kristen Stewart has publicly apologized for "a momentary indiscretion" -- allegedly cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, comments the Brit helmer made to ET about his leading lady seem to take on a whole new level of meaning.

"There was something when I first met her," the married-with-children Rupert told ET's Mark Steines on the set of the film. "I knew her work, but seeing that spirit is something you can't really act. She has that kind of dynamic spirit. She's very vivid and visceral and it's just always there, and I think it's really nice in this film to see the expansion of that."

Mark mentioned that K-Stew "has a pretty wicked right hook" in the movie, and Rupert acknowledged that her co-star Chris Hemsworth "got broadsided" by her during one particular scene. "She's tough."
