"I'll be right here…" E.T.'s final words in Steven Spielberg's classic 1982 movie will now ring even more true as the beloved extra-terrestrial will be immortalized at Madame Tussauds in celebration of the 30th anniversary of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
In the photo above, Madame Tussauds' sculptor Dan Woodley puts the finishing touches to the perfect clay sculpture that will be used as a blueprint for the wax figure of the legendary film character. Starting on October 22, E.T. will make his first appearances at Madame Tussauds locations in Hollywood, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Sydney, and in Tokyo in March 2013.
In addition to seeing E.T. in person, guests will be able to take Elliott’s place in the scene that saw E.T. and Elliott soaring on a BMX bike against the backdrop of a stunning full moon.
The 30th Anniversary Edition of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial on Blu-ray and DVD is available now.
