"It's going to have a scope that's bigger than anything I've seen," says Hanks. "I think this movie's going to have magnificent, stellar architecture."
Based on the complex David Mitchell novel, Cloud Atlas tells six stories, each set in a different time and place -- from the 19th century South Pacific to a post-apocalyptic world -- which become intricately related to each other. Hanks, Berry and Grant each play six roles in the saga that also features Jim Broadbent and Hugo Weaving.

Among her characters, Halle gets to play a man and a Jewish German woman, and she marvels at the uniqueness of the project: "It's been a once-in-a-lifetime filmmaking experience; I will never be a part of another film like this in my life, I know it. So therefore it's always going to be special."
Cloud Atlas floats into theaters October 26.
