Is Matthias Schoenaerts The Next Big Import?

There is nothing Hollywood loves more than adopting a foreign-born actor and vaulting them atop the A-List in a matter of minutes.
We've seen it happen with Clive Owen, Javier Bardem, Hugh Jackman, Christoph Waltz and countless others. While some (Robert Pattinson) soar in hugely successful American film franchises, others get repeated bites of the apple with no substantial success (sorry, Gerard Butler).

My prediction is that Matthias Schoenaerts will be the next adopted import. The Belgian actor delivers a star-making performance alongside the already dazzling Marion Cotillard in Rust & Bone, and Hollywood is already buzzing about this 34-year-old!

Schoenaerts recently participated The LA Times' The Envelope Screening Series, airing on EPIX, and this exclusive ETonline clip serves up your first (but certainly not your last) taste of the magic that is Matthias Schoenaerts.
