In real life, Charlie Sheen has established himself as quite the over-the-top character who has also had his share of problems with the fairer sex. Now, the Anger Management star is poking more fun at his embattled persona as the title character of the new indie comedy A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, and we have a first look at the '70s-tinged trailer.

In theaters February 8, A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III casts Sheen as a graphic designer and ladies' man whose life spirals out of control after he's dumped by his girlfriend. Accused of being everything from a "big fake liar" and "incredibly irresponsible" to "crazy and selfish," Charles retreats into a fantasy world to help cure his heartbreak. Jason Schwarzman and Bill Murray are his cohorts who help him through his anxieties.

Also starring Aubrey Plaza, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dermot Mulrroney and Patricia Arquette, the film is written and directed by Roman Coppola -- the son of Francis Ford Coppola and a regular collaborator with Wes Anderson -- whose last directorial effort was 2001's Barbarella-inspired CQ.
