Gulliver's Travels

Jack Black brings his unique brand of comedy to the classic tall tale (told many times over on the big and small screen) in this special effects-filled, family-friendly misadventure from 2010. Jack plays Gulliver as an underachieving mailroom clerk looking to impress a pretty newspaper travel editor (Amanda Peet). While sailing to Bermuda, he becomes shipwrecked on the fantastical island of Lilliput, where the tiny residents revere him as a giant. But can he undo the damage when he puts his newfound friends in peril? Making the most of the fish-out-of-water size jokes, the film culminates in a Jack-vs.-Giant Robot climax.
