Homeland star Damian Lewis gets to flex his natural Brit accent behind the wheel of the all-new Jaguar F-TYPE for a short film inspired by the new sports car, and we have a first look at the trailer for the short film Desire, produced by Ridley Scott Associates.
The action-packed short film by director Adam Smith, which will be released in April, finds Damian's character tasked with delivering a car and enjoying the ride in his shiny, souped-up Jag two-seater. But in the desert nothing is simple, and matters quickly get complicated when a gangster and his ex-wife (Jordi Molla and Shannyn Sossamon) step into the picture.
"It promises to be an adventure," says Damian. "Jaguar cars have played some iconic roles in film for many years and I'm looking forward to being the first to drive the F-TYPE in film."
This isn't the first time a major car company has enlisted the talents of high-profile filmmakers and actors to hawk their products in film form. Back in 2001, Clive Owen starred in The Hire, a series of shorts as a mysterious driver for BMW, each directed by a different helmer, including Guy Ritchie, Ang Lee and John Frankenheimer.
