For the last 16 years, the voice of one man has rung louder in my brain than any other as the worlds, characters, scenarios, lessons and lines Joss Whedon ushered into reality resonantly deeply within all levels of my consciousness, turning me into a lifetime card carrying member of The Whedonverse.

The last year has seen our ranks rise dramatically in number as Whedon took control of Marvel's The Avengers and created one of the most satisfying and sensational action films of the millennium. On Sunday, the film took home top prizes at The MTV Movie Awards, where I caught up with Joss to talk about the next phase of his career.

After first thanking him for creating Sunnydale (an absolute must), I went on to ask about the status of The Avengers sequel, ABC's hopeful Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot and the long-rumored Dr. Horrible 2.
