A 'Star Wars' Prequels Flashback

By

May the 4th Be with You! In celebration of Star Wars Day, we go back a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away for our vintage ET interviews with Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Liam Neeson, little Jake Lloyd, Hayden Christiansen and even George Lucas himself as they reveal Star Wars secrets, talk lightsabers and Darth Vader -- and confront their action-figure likenesses.

When George Lucas initially announced he would move forward with a prequel trilogy to his beloved Star Wars saga, most fans rejoiced -- then a legion cringed after experiencing the likes of Jar Jar Binks in 1999's awkwardly titled Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace.

But there was no denying that the excitement surrounding an all-new Star Wars trilogy was more powerful than ever -- especially McGregor, who had a boyish enthusiasm talking about making his first Star Wars movie -- and ET was there to go in-depth with the heroes of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Enjoy!
