Jamie's Advice to New Dad Tatum: Go with the Flow

In White House Down, Channing Tatum plays a policeman who must save Jamie Foxx's president when the White House is attacked. But in real life, it looks like Channing may be the one who needs saving by Jamie in the new dad department – especially when it's time for her to start dating.
"I've got to probably stop doing stupid stuff," a resigned Channing tells ET's Rocsi Diaz while discussing the urge to take on some of the crazier stunts in the movie, adding of fatherhood, "It feels amazing. I can't really put it into words."
Channing and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum had their baby girl, Everly, on May 31 of this year, and Jamie's already got two girls. So what's going to happen when Channing's little angel starts dating?
"I can't really say anything because I have a lot of things I have to explain to her," says Channing with a grin. "She's going to be like, 'Daddy, what were you doing before this?' And, 'What's Magic Mike?' I've got a lot of things that I'm in for."
"When that time comes, you have to speak to them like the father," says Jamie about having his daughters date boys and handling troubling situations. "I think if you are able to sort of step away from the old school parenting and be a little more chill, especially with your daughters, it all works out – and then go with the flow."
White House Down opens in theaters nationwide Friday.
