'The To Do List' Brings Back Raunchy Teen Comedy

By

Before the Internet and Google, there was a time when teens eager to know everything about the sexual experience had to either awkwardly talk to their friends and close confidants about it or go out and do it. In the same vein as classic 80's films like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Porky's, The To Do List is a frank, coming-of-age comedy only this time told from the female perspective.

Set in 1993, this raunchy romp follows Brandy Klark (played by Aubrey Plaza) as she works to shed her uptight image and complete a list of "activities" she missed out on in high school. The film hilariously takes us through Brandy's sexual awakening and the emotional consequences that follow her very clinical approach to losing the big-V.

"I didn't have to try so hard to lose mine," Plaza recounts when drawing parallels to Brandy. "I just kind of lost it. There it went," she jokes.

Rounding out a stellar cast is Bill Hader, Scott Porter, Johnny Simmons, Rachel Bilson, Andy Samberg, Connie Britton and Clark Gregg.

The To Do List hits theaters on July 26.
