New Trailer: Clooney & Damon Are 'Monuments Men'

By
Twentieth Century Fox

Once again George Clooney and Matt Damon are taking a group of guys on a dangerous mission, only instead of robbing a casino in Las Vegas like they did in Ocean's 11, they're saving valuable artwork from World War II in The Monuments Men.

Boasting an all-star cast including Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Jean Dujardin and John Goodman, the film, based on true events, is about a crew of art historians and museum curators who unite to recover renowned works of art stolen by Nazis before Adolf Hitler destroys them. "If you destroy an entire generation of people's culture, it is as if they never existed. That's what Hitler wants, and it's the one thing we can't allow," George Stout (Clooney) proclaims.

Despite the war-torn setting, Clooney, who both stars and directs the movie, manages to get in a few laughs. After all, Murray and Goodman star in the film. WATCH.

UPDATE: The Monuments Men movie release date has been backed up to early 2014 as opposed to its original release date in Dec. 2013. This means it will not be an eligible Oscar contender this awards season.

Regardless, will you be watching Damon and Clooney's return to the big screen together?
