Aussie hunk Chris Hemsworth steps behind the wheel and into the easygoing bravado of playboy Indy racer James Hunt in this month's Rush, but surprisingly, Hemsworth tells ET that replicating the famed sexual prowess of Hunt on camera was not an easy task for him.
"I've never done many of them you know," confessed the Thor star of his history doing on-screen love scenes. "You got 100 people standing around and cameras; it's pretty daunting."
In an unfortunate twist during filming, Hemsworth says director Ron Howard admitted to being a bit of a stranger directing his actors in sexy scenes.
"The two of us were a little confused," laughed Hemsworth of their awkward moment. "Thankfully one of the actresses was like, 'Here's how we're going to do it.' We had to choreograph things… She just kinda took control. Someone needed to!"

Set against the sexy, glamorous and spectacular golden age of Formula 1 racing, Rush recreates the merciless rivalry between Grand Prix racers James Hunt (Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl), a charismatic English playboy and a methodical Austrian perfectionist, respectively, whose clashes on the racetrack epitomized the contrast between their extraordinary personalities and pushed them to the physical and psychological breaking point.
Rush races into theaters September 27.
