The launchpad for the American Punk movement in the '70s gets the biopic treatment in the all-star rockin' movie CBGB, in theaters October 11, and we've got an exclusive clip from the film!

PICS: Stars Take On Real-Life Roles

Alan Rickman plays Hilly Krystal, the infamous owner of the fabled New York City Bowery dive, and Ashley plays his daughter Lisa, who saved the establishment numerous times from closing down. In the clip, she clues her father in for what the club is about to become -- ground zero for music, fans, crowds and chaos -- and asks him for a job.

Originally intended to be a country, blues and bluegrass establishment, CBGB's transformed into a music mecca for up-and-coming rockers ranging from The Ramones, Dead Boys and Iggy Pop to The Police, Talking Heads and Blondie. Krystal showcased a reported 50,000 bands at the birth of the punk movement, and his one demand was that they all must play their own original music.
